The Shark Line 46 draws inspiration from the shark's slim outline between its fin and body. By incorporating this abstract concept, the designers have created a yacht that exudes grace and speed. Unlike traditional bionic designs, the Shark Line 46 avoids over-specific design language, instead focusing on the shark's hunting process, killing speed, and the mystery of waiting for its prey. The yacht's sharp lines and silver-black color scheme perfectly capture the essence of the shark, resulting in a cool and fashionable image whether it is sailing or at anchor.
What sets the Shark Line 46 apart from other pleasure yachts is its unique production process. Taipei Base Design Center collaborated with a renowned shipbuilding company, leveraging their expertise in traditional craft methods. The interior space of the yacht is built using wooden hand-made craft, reminiscent of antique car manufacturing techniques. The hull, on the other hand, is reinforced using FRP composite manufacturing, ensuring strength and durability. By tapping into Taiwan's 50-year history of shipbuilding, the Shark Line 46 can be efficiently mass-produced without compromising on quality.
Technical specifications of the Shark Line 46 include a length overall of 46 ft, a hull beam of 4.3 m, and a maximum speed of 33 knots. These specifications, combined with its sleek design, make the Shark Line 46 a formidable presence on the water.
The interior of the Shark Line 46 is designed to provide a luxurious and comfortable experience for its passengers. The spacious sun deck, open windows, and large salon area allow ample sunlight to fill the space, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The kitchen, located at the rear of the yacht, provides a smooth and comfortable circulation, akin to that of a home. The interior space also features two bedrooms and a standard bathroom, all meticulously designed using traditional wooden craft methods to cater to various custom needs.
The Shark Line 46 project began in July 2013 and involved collaboration with an internationally renowned shipbuilding company known for its traditional craft methods. The result is a yacht that seamlessly combines the beauty of nature with the expertise of Taiwanese shipbuilding.
The Shark Line 46 has received numerous accolades, including the Iron A' Design Award in the Yacht and Marine Vessels Design category in 2015. This prestigious award recognizes the yacht's well-designed, practical, and innovative features that meet professional and industrial requirements. The Shark Line 46 stands as a testament to the integration of industry best practices and competent technical characteristics, providing fulfillment and positive feelings to its passengers.
The Shark Line 46 is not just a yacht; it is a work of art that merges the beauty of nature with cutting-edge design and technology. With its sleek lines, luxurious interiors, and innovative production process, the Shark Line 46 is set to make waves in the pleasure yacht industry.
